John & Nicole Engagement Session - Blue Ridge Parkway

Fall colors were the background setting for an engagement photo session with John & Nicole. We met at Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, and then went on to a couple of overlooks after that. We had a great time together and the setting sun was a bonus feature. Enjoy these photos, and head over to the photo store to see the rest of the session. Next up is the wedding in early May at the beautiful Rockwood Manor in Dublin, Virginia.

Feel free to look back at the "Sneak Peek" photos. After looking through these, let me know which ones are your favorites and why. I look forward to your comments.

Mya - One year old Portraits

Happy First Birthday Mya! What a privilege it was for me to capture this special little girl's first birthday portraits. She did such a great job "posing" for the camera. She's a natural already. This portrait session was extra special for me since I had taken her newborn photos when she was only 2 weeks old. Take a look back at these to see how much she's grown in this first year. I'll post quite a few more on Facebook, and then also on the Photo Store. Thanks Jeff & Jennifer for letting me capture family memories for you.

Senior Portrait Session - Hannah

For this senior portrait session, Hannah and I met in Radford to capture these memories. We were chasing the light as the sun was almost gone by the time we started the session. Here are three of the shots that were made. We are setting up a time to review the rest of the photos, and after Hannah has reviewed them, I'll post quite few more here and on Facebook. Be sure to check back.

Nicole & John Engagement - Sneak Peek

Nicole & John will be getting married next May, and I'm delighted to say that I'll be there to capture their special day. We had an engagement photo session a couple of weeks ago at Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've finished all the images, but I want them to be the first to see them. So until we get together for them to experience the photos first, here are just a few to get you anxious with me. Check back soon.

Baby Ty

Here are a few photos of baby Ty, taken several weeks ago. What a happy baby! With parents like Brett & Sara, it's no wonder he's so happy. Enjoy!

Jenny & Joey's Wedding Rehearsal

All of Jenny & Joey's photos are finished and uploaded to the photo store. They are previewing them over the weekend. On Monday, I'll make the gallery available for everyone else to see too. Next week, I'll post their slideshow for you to watch. If you haven't seen a photo presentation set to music, then you have to come back and check it out. There's just something so amazing about the photos when there's music in the background and some movement to the images. Be sure to come back. In the meantime, here is a photo of them taken during the rehearsal the evening before the wedding. Have great weekend.

Jenny & Joey's Wedding - Part 4

The wedding ceremony was conducted by Pastor Tim Hunt and by Pastor Brandon Craig. They led a wonderful service that was God honoring and so appropriate for the bride and groom. Floral services were provided by Gates Flowers & Gifts. After the bride and groom left Belmont Christian Church in their chauffeured vintage car (1938 Plymouth, I think) they made the short ride from Christiansburg to Blacksburg, where they arrived for the reception at Custom Catering Center. Inside they proceeded to continue their special day with lots of family and friends. Custom Catering had prepared a delicious meal for everyone at the reception. Susan Whetzel (doughmesstic@gmail.com) prepared the wedding cake, which was a wonderfully decorated cheesecake. It tasted great! There were also lots of cupcakes. The reception featured lots of dancing with DJ services provided by Kerri Taylor & Company with Gene Broadus at the mic. The entire day was filled with wonderfully friendly people that made Jenny & Joey's special day all the more special. I am so thankful to have been a part of the event. I would also like to thank the wedding coordinators for their excellent planning and direction for this day. You both made it run so smoothly. To Joey and Jenny Conrad, Dewana and I thank you for the opportunity you gave us to serve you.
